14 years in Radical Remission!

During 2009, I was diagnosed with highly aggressive end-stage uterine sarcoma. I went to see a world-renowned sarcoma specialist, who told me that even if I was very lucky and got into remission, I would be dead in 10 years.
That would have been in 2019.
Right away, Charlie Sky Meyers asked everyone to pray for me, using a bright smiley face as a reminder to pray. So the smiley face became my symbol for healing.
Along with your prayers, it took two years of medical treatment, psychotherapy, and a multitude of supporters and integrative therapies to survive.
At the end of the medical treatment–when I had no more chemo options–a nurse practitioner with 30 years of oncology experience told me to get my affairs in order.
That was early October 2011. FOURTEEN years ago. I have had ZERO treatment and ZERO evidence of that cancer ever since!
I compiled what I had done in the best-selling traditionally published book THRIVER SOUP [https://thriversoup.com/book/], which in turn is saving others’ lives.
Then in July my newest book, WRITING AS A TREATMENT FOR CANCER [https://thriversoup.com/writing-treatment/], was published. It expounds on only 1 of the 250 healing options included in THRIVER SOUP. This new book contains about 500 questions you can answer for yourself and an explanation of a useful process for getting to the bottom of personal issues. It includes examples of what I discovered for myself by doing the writing process. This opened me up to more healing.
One local cancer survivor is finding valuable insights for herself simply by reading through the book’s questions.
In a stroke of serendipity last week, Gray Fox Farms had a display at the local farmers’ market with smiley-face balloons, so I had to pose with one! My 14th year in Radical Remission!

Writing as a Treatment for Cancer

If you are serious about beating cancer and are ready to discover the healing power of expressive handwriting, this book is for you.
Through hundreds of prompts, you are invited to explore your innermost feelings with pen and paper. This can ease your way during chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation, and help you restore your body, emotions, mind, personal relationships, and spirit.
Each section begins by revealing how I created positive changes for my life by writing out my difficult feelings. I’m still in radical remission from highly aggressive end-stage cancer–since 2011!
Then warmup questions progress toward “moving deeper” queries. The final “dive to thrive” process allows fresh insights to flourish as you sidestep your normal inhibitions.
Scientific studies suggest that this integrative therapy can boost immunity, lower stress, and create emotional renewal.
With about 500 prompts, Writing as a Treatment for Cancer is your invaluable guide along the way.
